Before you know it Thanksgiving, Christmas, and 2009 will be here. Many businesses increase hiring during the holiday season. That's a good thing. What is not good is hiring the wrong person. Unscrupulous people looking for holiday work and quick money (such as stealing from you) are out there, and you need to put the odds in your favor that they are not placed on the payroll. If nothing else, a quick criminal record check is in order. And if this person will be driving a company or personal vehicle on business, it's wise to check the driving record, as well.
